Canadian Music Fest 2012! Recommendations…

If you are a music fan you will most likely be attending some Canadian Music Fest events. As you know, there are hundreds of artists in town and it is often hard to pick a venue or an act to go see since so many great performances are happening at the same time. I am going to offer some suggestions here, but I encourage you to do some of your own research or maybe just go out to a venue you like and wait to see who hits the stage. But whatever you do, discover something. See bands you didn’t know existed, explore different venues, speak to people you come into contact with. Have fun, be safe, and enjoy!
Also, just a quick tip: Popular venues (Horseshoe, Rivoli, Wrongbar, etc.) will fill up fast! So get there early and plan to stay. If you are showing up for a later performance, expect to wait in line for a bit.

9 FebThis group from Iceland seems to be on everyones playlist lately. Their first full-length album came out last year in Ice Land and was distributed worldwide earlier this year by Universal. This is the debut single, ‘Little Talks’.

New Arcade Fire Video!
16 DecArcade Fire have just released a new video for the song Sprawl 2 … and this time it has a twist!
If you have a web cam on your computer, you can make the video interactive. I have yet to try it out myself but I have been told that you have to do some sort of dance number haha … I will try it out as soon as I get to a computer with a cam. 
You can also select the option to view the traditional video, which is pretty good. who doesn’t love dancing??
